February 2019 Newsletter – Air Pollution

WHO (World Health Organisation) has named air pollution as one of the top ten global health threats in 2019 (1), as it is estimated 91% of the world’s population live in areas where air quality exceeds the recommended levels (2)

While the other 9% of the world with clean air is more than likely ecosystem of rainforests which are rapidly declining (3), we are curious this month to discover more about what the health implications are from air pollution – and how we can prevent. There are two main ways of examining the effects of air pollution – via ambient (outdoor) pollution & indoor air pollution.
