Climate and the Curriculum

Climate change is the single biggest health thread facing humanity, according to the WHO. However, only 15% of medical schools have incorporated the relationship between climate change and health into their curricula.

The Irish Doctors for the Environment working group focusing on Climate Change and Planetary Health inclusion into the Medical Curriculum was set up in early 2019. The working group consists of both current medical students across the Irish medical schools and doctors at various stages of training.
